As my work at this internship continues to progress, I have begun to learn even more about virtual marketing, and have begun to be more connected through social media. The advantages of connecting through social media have begun to become very apparent. Not only is it an entertaining personal tool, but also can be used as a powerful job snatching device. Social media networks such as twitter and LinkedIn are great example for such a use. LinkedIn strives to have its program centered on professionalism, and is often used by job seekers to connect directly to employers. Job seekers even tend to send in their resumes through LinkedIn and schedule interviews without any third party. Most people do not know all the advantages that come with these websites, and label their uses as strictly social. If the public were to explore these sites, they would be able to use them to their full potential and be able to take advantage of a powerful tool that can be used for a number of tasks.
