Starting up a new job board

Since the very first day that I began as social media intern for hirefinders.com, I have come to learn even more about the difficulties of establishing a new website/service and promoting it. The most difficult aspect is the fact that you are not the only service or website in that field. As a job board website, we have nearly 50,000 other competitors, including Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com whom are recognized as leaders in the field. Therefore in order to compete with these big names we must find innovative ways to help our customers land the positions they are looking into. In order to do this we have incorporated social media sites to help candidates land positions. Many jobseekers are ceasing to use typical job boards because of a lack of response to their applications. But even though our website offers so many services that many do not, it does not matter if the public is not informed, which can prove as the most difficult step to establishing a new business, website, service etc.
